CALVİN MBARGA TARAFTARDAN DESTEK İSTEDİ

Feb 6, 2015 - 11:55am

One of Hume City FC’s newest recruits, Calvin Mbarga, has called on the Club's supporters to get behind the team this season.

“This year is Hume City’s year, we are going to smash everything. So you should come out and support us,” Mbarga said.

A prolific goal scorer, Mbarga usually plays as a striker, but says he can move around the ground almost “spontaneously” because of his great speed.

He represented Cameroon at Under 20 level and played in the United Arab Emirates for Baniyas and Al Jazira before coming to Australia.

Scoring 20 goals in his first year in the South Australian NPL, the speedy striker remained one of the top scorers in his four seasons in the league.

“Everyone knows Calvin is a goal-scorer,” he said, but explained, “I can’t do it myself though, I know I will receive great passes from the midfielders.”

Mbarga says coming to Hume City has been “absolutely amazing” and that he didn’t expect everyone to be so friendly - “it’s a great bunch of guys [in the senior squad].”

The striker is confident in his ability to continue the goalscoring form he's shown throughout his career at his new club.

“I think I’ll score some goals,” Mbarga said before correcting himself, “100% I’ll score some goals.”
